Fatal stabbing at Empangeni bank

A man has been fatally wounded and a female is in critical condition after a stabbing incident at a bank in Empangeni’s OK Centre this afternoon (Wednesday).

SAPS promptly secured the scene, while Mounties Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended to the wounded woman.

Bystanders and shop owners descended into panic mode as droplets of blood marked the floors of the shopping centre.

It is reported that the suspect has been apprehended, but the motive for the attack is unknown.

The woman was transported to hospital for further medical care.
