Watch: A glimpse of Pearl Thusi on US series Quantico

The wait is finally over and Mzansi viewers can watch one of Mzansi’s It-girls, Pearl Thusi, on screen this evening at 8 on M-Net's Vuzu AMP (DStv channel 103).

Thusi has already has Twitter abuzz as the loved series was aired in the early hours of Monday morning in the United States.

The talent has received nothing but love and appreciation from the many fans she has here at home in South Africa, with most going on to social media and jotting down a few sweet words of motivation, expressing how proud they are that she has made it this far in her career.

Excited about her debut, the presenter/actress has been encouraging those who love her and even those who don’t to catch a glimpse of her “African dream” tonight on the small screen.

“I’ll be flexing on Sunday on ABC (I still can’t believe this is real). Africa – we’re on Monday on @vuzutv ,” Thusi wrote on instagram.

“So watch if you’re not hating. Actually, watch either way; haters are always the most knowledgeable about your career. And yes, my tummy looks better now. I was bloated and jet lagged ok. Either way, I’m flexing my blessing from God,” she added.

Thusi plays the role of Dayana Mampasi; a driven, type-A lawyer who is struggling to fit in. The second season of the popular show starts at the CIA’s mysterious training facility, the “farm” where Pearl’s character is brought into the story. Subsequent to graduating top of her class at Harvard, she worked at an NGO for two years before joining her parents’ Boston firm. Although she seems to have it all, Mampasi struggles to fit in.

Quantico already has a number of complex characters fighting the ghosts in their closet, and fresh additions only add to the twisted plot of the story.

Thusi seems to be enjoying her period in New York and being a part of the FBI drama. She has been seen expressing nothing but joy about her newfound role and the opportunity to work alongside people she has admired for a long time. “A huge inspiration and one of my favourite people on set.

“I still have to pinch myself that we’re working together,” Thusi captioned a picture she took with Blair Underwood, an American television, film, and stage actor and director.
