‘RIP’ to Kelly Khumalo’s ‘bae’
Twitter has already started mourning Mthethwa's death after a picture with the Asine hitmaker was posted online.
Kelly Khumalo’s picture on Twitter.
Singer Kelly Khumalo on Sunday posted a picture of herself with Idols SA winner Khaya Mthethwa and called him “bae”, but Mthethwa on Twitter was immediately warned against dating her.
Most of the comments were tongue-in-cheek advance condolences to Mthethwa’s family, saying his “application for a death certificate was pending”.
Khumalo has previously been called “babes wokufa” (babes of death), she has had two ex-boyfriends, Prosper Mkwaiwa and Senzo Meyiwa, die young.
But Khumalo said she was laughing at the “stupidity” of the comments about Mthethwa dying soon because he was her “bae”.

“Twitter folks are so predictable, I’m sitting laughing my lungs out on how stupid ya’ll can be,” she said, receiving yet more negative comments from fans, who said it was a pity Meyiwa was not there to share the laughter with her.
“Pity Senzo isn’t here to share the laughter with you,” they said.
Khumalo said she did not give a f*ck what people said about her because she was living her “truth”.

Though she has been blamed for Meyiwa’s death, Khumalo recently revealed in an interview with Anele Mdoda that she wanted to get the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper’s murder “out of her system” and move on with her life.
Khumalo said she was not allowed to talk about what happened on the fateful night Meyiwa was shot dead at her house in Vosloorus but felt police were not doing enough to solve the mystery.
“At the end of the day, I’m one person that wants people or even the country to know what happened. I mean, at the end of the day, Senzo was not only loved by me,” she said.
