Ntsiki Mazwai, Bonang lock horns

In an email allegedly written by Queen B herself, she calls Mazwai a 'dog' and tells the singer to focus on why her music doesn't sell.

Ntsiki Mazwai trended on Twitter on Thursday morning after posting a screengrab of a threatening email she claimed was sent by Bonang ‘Queen B’ Matheba.

It reads: “Don’t start what you cannot finish sisi. Im not the one you want to mess with in this media zone. Slandering me, my brand, my man, everything that i have worked so damn hard for will not do you any good. Im just letting you know now, back off nja! nxa. Focuse on why music doens’t sell and while you’reat it, try and look pretty [sic].”

The email was apparently provoked by Mazwai writing on Twitter that the model liked “trashy” guys after having seen a video of Bonang’s boyfriend, AKA, fighting with the DStv iRock Festival organisers on Saturday night.

Mazwai slammed Bonang for sending the email despite the fact that she had defended her throughout the DJ Zinhle and AKA drama and, apparently, also had Bonang’s lawyers calling her for help in the Euphonik assault drama.

The irony of the email, according to Mazwai, is that she does not think Bonang is pretty but “just wears lots of makeup”.

Bonang’s fans jumped to her defence, saying the email was a spam and that its grammar was too bad to be hers. Mazwai is, however, having none of it. She still insists the hate mail was sent by the TV presenter.

Bonang responded to Mazwai’s tweet, denying that she had sent it.

Though she thanked Bonang for clarifying she was not the one who sent the email, Mazwai still believes she sent it, as it came “straight from her server”. Mazwai has also questioned Bonang’s approach to the debacle.

“What I know for sure is that if a hate mail was sent from my account to a fellow industry sister, I wouldn’t be calm about it. I’d be shocked,” she said.

She said she did not see anything wrong with commenting on Bonang’s relationship, as she was the one who put it in the public domain.
