How much it costs to book Cassper Nyovest

Kelly Khumalo and Chomee's rates start from R35 000 for indoor events.

There is a growing trend of booking well-known people to attend weddings and parties, just to add to the vibe and status of the event. However, “renting” our local celebs does not seem to come cheap, so you need to do your research and plan way before the event so you won’t have to pay for your star guest with borrowed money.

Obviously, emerging artists will not charge the same fee as those who have been in the industry for a long time – for instance, Nathi and Hugh Masekela would not charge the same price. In a report by Sunday World, it would cost a whopping R280 000 to book music legend Masekela.

Cassper recently went on Twitter to dispute rumours that AKA was richer than him and told fans he made R8 million just from shows. Judging from his fan base, it was obvious he did a lot of gigs, but as to how he made R8 million from those shows? That was baffling. According to Sunday World, it would cost you R120 000 to book Cassper. The amount excludes his accommodation, flights and entourage of about six people.

The prices reportedly depend on whether the event is outdoors or indoors, the number of people invited and capacity of the venue, whether the event will take place during the week or weekend, and whether you’d like the artist to promote the event, among other factors.

You would need to fork out R100 000 to book Country Girl Zahara, with Stimela costing you a whopping R250 000. Nathi’s rate reportedly ranges from R50 000 to R140 000, while Kelly Khumalo and Chomee’s rates start from R35 000 for indoor events.
