Details: Mahlangu registered for R232k MBA at University of Bedfordshire
It is still not clear exactly which exams Mahlangu was writing when the hearing got under way in Parktown.

Disgraced former Gauteng health MEC Qedani Mahlangu is currently studying for an MBA at the University of Bedfordshire, and she currently resides in London as a full-time student.
She is also registered for a concurrent unnamed course at the London School of Business and Finance.
According to information The Citizen obtained from Angelo Christophorou of Biccario Bollo Mariano Inc., Mahlangu was “previously registered to study with the University of London, where she obtained her Masters Degree in Finance”.
“Our client [Mahlangu] presently resides in London, and is a full-time student, registered with the University of Bedfordshire, where she is registered for a second Masters (MBA) and the London School of Business and Finance,” Christophourou wrote to the Times newspaper on the November 2, demanding that the publication correct misleading information it had published.
According to information carried on the institution’s website, it costs £12 500 tuition only to register for an MBA if you are an international student and the university reserves the right to increase tuition fees by no more than inflation.

The full-time Master of Business Administration has six intakes during the academic year in September, November, January, March, June and July. Rapport claimed that Mahlangu left on a flight at OR Tambo International Airport en route to Heathrow International Airport towards the end of July 2017.
Semester one for MBA students commenced on October 2, with the Christmas break beginning 18 December until 1 January, 2018. Exams will only be taking place on the week starting 22 January to 26 January, 2018.
The information shows that for block MBA students, there are exams that will take place from the 13 to 17 November, 2017.
Mahlangu has previously, through her lawyers, told the Life Esidimeni hearings chaired by retired deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke that she is unable to give oral evidence at the hearing as she was currently writing examinations.
The Citizen has forwarded a set of questions to the institution enquiring when exactly exams for the full-time MBA intake for the 2017-18 academic year would be taking place. Their response will be published as soon as it is received.

Had she decided not to snub local business schools, Mahlagu would have found out that according to the Financial Mail, four local universities offer international accredited MBA at a fraction of what she is paying in the UK.
Those are Gordon Institute of Business Science, Wits Business School, Stellenbosch Business School, University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business as well as Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership.
