WATCH: Unexpected snowfall on Table Mountain!
While some parts of the country are experiencing a heatwave, the Cape has experienced another cold front, bringing with it some light snowfalls.

On Wednesday morning, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway posted a video of some light snow falling near the upper cable station, on its Instagram account.
“Christmas has come early at the #Cableway… it’s 2 degrees at the summit of #tablemountain and it’s snowing,” the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway company wrote in the Instagram post.
The recent snowfalls and rains in the Western Cape have helped ease the province’s crippling drought. Water restrictions will be decreased early next month.

No further snowfalls ahead
Unfortunately for snow-chasers, Snow Report announced that there were no further snowfalls predicted for the country following Wednesday’s snow.
