The animal had become stuck between two rocks and would not have been able to get away by itself.
A British couple on holiday in Oman happened upon a stricken sea turtle on their walk along the beach. The pair were on their way to see turtle hatchlings battle their way along the beach when they noticed the animal trapped between two rocks and decided to save it.
The pair have now gone viral for their efforts in this touching video:
