Bianca Mazur, Flight Centre’s general manager says: “Flight Centre South Africa is now the first Flight Centre globally to open a new bricks-and-mortar store since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, so this is a really exciting time for us.”

According to Mazur, they’ve seen pent-up demand for travel growing substantially in recent months, including South African bestsellers like Mauritius and Thailand.

With the pandemic, it has also become clear that “travellers are realising the necessity of consulting Asata [Association Of Southern African Travel Agents] accredited travel experts when it comes to any travel”.

“We’ve also observed that many customers prefer face-to-face, in-person interactions with a Travel Expert rather than interacting or booking online,” Mazur said.

Stay local

Bridge Hotel & Suites, Cape Town travel deals

Stay at the four-star aha Harbour Bridge Hotel and Suites in Cape Town for two nights from R3,320 per person, between 10 January 2022 and 30 September 2022.

The deal includes return flights from Johannesburg to Cape Town, two days’ worth of car hire (Kia Picanto or similar), two nights’ accommodation in a Bridge Room and the daily breakfasts.
