Grand landscapes at La Dolce Vita

Except for the odd man walking his dog here and there, folks seem to like to keep indoors and enjoy the view of the magnificent dam from the comfort of their houses.

Drinks and snacks are available on the ferry and depen-ding on the age demographic of the passengers on the day, a DJ spins some tunes while the ferry moves about the dam.

Tranquility is the order of the day on this ride and the world’s worries can easily disappear for a moment while you marvel at nature’s wonders. Hartebeespoort Dam is just around the corner from the rush and pace of Joburg, proving that a quick “sho’t left” is indeed the perfect tonic for some rest and relaxation close to home.
