WATCH: Shocking batting sparks match-fixing probe

The ICC is investigating a private league in the UAE after it emerged some batsmen were trying their best to get out.

A private cricket league played in the United Arab Emirates has grabbed attention for all the wrong reasons.

Not that they tried to hide it in particular…

The International Cricket Council announced that they will be investigating the All-Time Ajman League after footage emerged of the shocking ways some batsmen were getting out.

It has raised fears of match-fixing being rife in the tournament.

There is currently an ICC Anti-Corruption Unit investigation underway in relation to the Ajman All Stars League held recently in Ajman, UAE,” Alex Marshall, the ICC general manager, Anti-Corruption, said in a statement.

“The ICC ACU works to uphold integrity in cricket, and in keeping with that role we are talking to players and officials and will not make any further comment at this time.”

It’s difficult to argue against it!
