WATCH: Comrades spirit helps runner over the line with seconds left!

As much as Bongmusa Mthembu’s recent dominance of the Comrades Marathon or a full-time attorney winning her maiden title are compelling plots, nothing beats the drama and emotion of novice runners just beating the clock in time.

This gentleman cramped up badly and basically could not move a muscle anymore … before four “heroes” came to his rescue.

Note how he makes with just 40 seconds to spare!
