South African rugby is well aware of Israel Folau’s silky skills on the field.
But that doesn’t extend to his use of social media.
The Waratahs and Wallabies fullback is in hot water again after another controversial comment over gay people.
After posting a religious picture on his Instagram account, he was asked by a follower what is “God’s plan” for homosexuals.
Later on in the comments thread, Folau replied: “HELL… unless they repent of their sins and turn to God.”
Doesn't quite fit with Israel Folau's "I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions" line from last year. pic.twitter.com/A023XnxRBd

His comment has been subsequently deleted.
Compounding the situation is the fact that Folau previously professed to “love and respect all people”.
I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions. but personally, I will not support gay marriage.✌❤🙏

He unleashed similar outage last year when he publicly opposed the Australian government’s push to pass same-sex marriage legislation.
