Round four of this year’s Inland Championship for Cars and Bikes features 11 competition categories in 22 races.
> Top billing will go to the Big Boss Auto Super Saloon Car category. The Jaguar XKR V8 entries of Matty Maartens and George Smith come up against the Mazda MX7 Rotary machines of Mike Meyer, Raymond Goodrich, Amos Cockeram Snr and Anton Brits.
> The Libra Productions Silver Cup Racing group will boast a full field of Volkswagens, Peugeots, Toyotas, Mazdas and Fords. Leading should be Class P cars like the Pretoria North Toyota Altezza of Lucas Bezuidenhout, the two Mazda MPS entries of Freek Blignaut junior and senior, and Rinus de Bruyn’s BMW E36.
Top contenders in the classes behind them will include Jose Sardinha (Honda CRX), Emmanual Athanassiou (Nissan Spaceframe), Ian Ehlers (VW Polo), Johan Krynauw (Nissan), Dougie Truter (VW Polo) and Lee Thompson (VW Polo RR).
Others to watch are Danie Deysel (Honda CRX), JC Joubert (Honda Ballade), Veritie-Anne Joubert (Honda Ballade), Rinus Plomp (Toyota Conquest) and Charlene Meiring (Honda Ballade).
The SA Mechanical Seal Importers Alfa Trofeo races will present the Alfa brigade of Ralph Kernes, Barend van der Walt, Warren Ewart, Giuseppe Martini, and Simon Boyle.
> The Inex Legends will have singer Nicolas Louw behind the wheel of the Liqui Moly car, chasing Devin Robertson (Big Boss Auto), Jacque Taljaard, Corrie Taljaard, Seef Fourie, Morne Stoltz and Franco di Matteo.
> The Big Boss Auto MPC races will have a combined field of Sports Racing Cars and the Midvaal Historics in their group.
Leading competitors will include the Datsuns of Seef Fourie Snr, Francois Jacobs, Johann Coetzer and Shawn Smidt.
They will race against the Modified Production Cars of Giles Darroch (VW Golf), Dirk Lawrence (Honda Ballade), Stewart McLarty (Toyota Conquest) and Edwin van Niekerk (Renault Sandero).
> The Formula Libra, Formula M and Historic Single Seaters combination will clash in the Monoposto races.
> The 250 Superkarts will have a field of more than 10 cars. Top drivers will include Veron Pappas, Steven Levin, Eerick Horn, Craig Collier, Jarred Welby-Cooke, Craig Backe-Hansen and Sean Moore.
> Two-wheeler fans can look forward to Thunderbike and Brunch Run Challenge races.
Top Thunderbike contenders will include Anthoney Shelly (Kawasaki), Darien Kayser (Kawasaki), and Kyran de Lange (Kawasaki) and Terry Brook (Kawasaki),
The Zwartkops gates will open at 6am, with racing scheduled to begin at 10am.
