Update: A second Comrades Marathon runner has died

One of the fallen runners is confirmed as Mzamo Mthembu, while the second is believed to be a 49-year-old male.

Mzamo Mthembu was confirmed on Monday morning by his running club, Hollywoodbets Athletics Club, through a Facebook statement.
