Thirty-man selection squad named

The SA Hockey Association on Wednesday announced a squad of 30 players to attend a final selection camp ahead of the national men's team's participation in the Hockey World Cup finals later this year.


The event will be held in The Hague, Netherlands, from May 31 to June 15.

The seven-day camp will be held at St Alban’s College in Pretoria from April 27.

South African selection squad: Goalkeepers: Rassie Pieterse, Gowan Jones, Jacques le Roux. Defenders: Justin Reid-Ross, Lloyd Madsen, Mohamed Mea, Dylan Swanepoel, Jethro Eustice, Andrew Cronje, Lance Louw, Robin Jones, Rhett Halkett. Midfielders: Clive Terwin, Jonty Robinson, Tim Drummond, Taylor Dart, Wade Paton, Austin Smith, Clint Panther, Owen Mvimbi, Miguel da Graca, Craig Haley. Forwards: Julian Hykes, Lungi Tsolekile, Lloyd Norris-Jones, Ignatuis Malgraff, Pierre de Voux, Taine Paton, Matt Botha, Brandon Panther.
