Warren Whiteley, the Lions’ inspirational skipper, on Wednesday showed off his new hairstyle during the launch of the limited edition Springbok Invictus Medal.

The 32-year-old flanker won’t be on the plane to Japan as he’s still struggling to recover from a pesky knee problem.

Here, he tells how his family reacted to him discarding his mop of curly hair in favour of, well, almost nothing … all in the name of cancer awareness.
