Western Province coach John Dobson is never a man to mince his words.
And the best part of that is that he’s almost always pretty calm when he says them.

Following Sunday’s 20-29 loss to the Lions in a Currie Cup game at Ellis Park, Dobson once again spoke his mind without resorting to a stern tone.
But his choice of words could become a problem for him in this instance.

Dobson was particularly disappointed with the way the Streeptruie performed in the line-outs and used what will be considered a controversial phrase (in a South African context) as description.
“To say our line-out misfired would be an understatement,” he said.
“We got absolutely raped in the line-outs. When you lose two line-outs from 5 metres out, you miss out on a 30%-40% scoring opportunity.”
A few weeks earlier, Dobson complained about Saru’s rule of teams only being allowed to pick seven replacements.
He believes that encourages cheating in the scrums.
