‘Zlatan’ wants out of Ajax, looks to go back to NFD

Last season’s National First Division (NFD) top goalscorer, Sedwyn 'Zlatan' George, wants out of Ajax Cape Town as a result of a lack of game time.

The 26-year-old has indicated to his former side Royal Eagles that he would like to come back.

Phakaaathi understands that Eagles have already began talks with the Urban Warriors looking to land the striker on loan, at least until the end of the season.

“George is unhappy. He has been playing in the MDC [Multichoice Diski Challenge] team, but that is not enough for him. He feels he is old enough to be playing in the senior team. He is even prepared to get back to the NFD,” a source close to the player has revealed.

Eagles are meanwhile said to be talking to former Thanda Royal Zulu and Chippa United coach Roger Sikhakhane.

“They want him to take over because things have not been going well for them. When Zipho [Dlangalala] came in, it looked like things would change, but now the team has stalled, and the management are worried,” said the source.
