PSL weekend review: March 9-10
This week on our weekend review, Phakaaathi’s Khaya Ndubane and Mike Gumede look at the Absa Premiership matches, as well as the Caf games that took place this past weekend.

Mamelodi Sundowns secured their spot in the Caf Champions League quarterfinals by beating Nigeria’s Lobi Stars.
There was no such joy for Orlando Pirates as they had to come back from a two-nil lead to salvage a 2-2 draw with FC Platinum of Zimbabwe. The result leaves Bucs with all to play for in their last group match against Horoya.
Coming into the Absa Premiership, Bivest Wits’ slide continued as they went down 2-0 to AmaZulu on Saturday night. The result meant that the Students have won just one game in seven matches.
Amazingly though, they are still in the running for the league title as they only trail joint leaders Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns by a mere two points.
