Orlando Pirates stole three points from Bidvest Wits in injury time, courtesy of a Keegan Ritchie own goal. The win took them to joint top of the log with Sundowns.
Maritzburg United edged Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 on Friday night to keep their survival chances alive.
The biggest game or talking point for that matter though was Sundowns’ 5-0 win over Al Ahly in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Caf Champions League.
