Keita secures 1-0 victory

Today’s 1-0 victory – thanks to Naby Keita’s solitary goal – guarantees Liverpool at least second place in the Premier League this season.

A sea of red gathered at St James’ park and witnessed Newcastle’s confident start, playing it long in an attempt to get behind Liverpool’s defence.

Spectators could be heard singing, “I’m so glad that Jurgen is a Red” from the stadium.

Liverpool club security

It’s all-around a good season for Liverpool. The Reds could make history this year – no team has come as close to being in contention for a quadruple in England.

Fans were already fired up by Jurgen Klopp’s decision on Thursday to extend his contract at Anfield until 2026, saying he was “delighted and humbled” to stay on.

“There is just so much to love about this place. I knew that before I came here. I got to know it even better after I arrived, and now I know it more than ever before”.

However, Klopp is unsure if his deal will persuade Mohamed Salah to stay, whose contract expires next year.

With Klopp staying on, there is, however, an additional level of security within the club.
