The Dutch side weren’t the only ones to cause shocks last month. Juventus came back from 2-0 down against Atletico Madrid to qualify for this quarter-final. This clearly shows they also have a fighting spirit inside them.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who was the main instigator of that comeback, looks likely to make his return from injury against the Amsterdam outfit.

His involvement certainly has a huge impact on the prices. Juventus are currently 5/4 to win this first leg and that could either shorten or grow depending on the team news.

Juventus haven’t exactly struggled without their main man however, they haven’t really excelled either. The Old Lady picked up three wins from four games and suffered their first league defeat of the season when they fell to a 2-0 loss away at Genoa.

Ajax, on the other hand, have gone goal mad in the Dutch Eredivisie. The Amsterdam outfit has won five from their last six games, scoring 18 goals along the way.

Despite that, one area which will be of concern to Ajax fans will be their head to head record with Juventus. The Dutch side haven’t beaten the Italian giants in any of their last six major European meetings.
