Huddersfield look to upset Chelsea

The Terriers ended a four-game losing run with a 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday, a result that moved them up to 12th in the table and five points outside the relegation zone.

Huddersfield haven’t beaten Chelsea since 1963 and they face the defending champions off the back of their shock defeat at West Ham, which left the Blues 14 points behind leaders Manchester City.

David Wagner has revealed that he has no fresh injury concerns after the weekend win, while the home manager is boosted by the return of Rajiv van La Parra after a three-game suspension.

Chelsea loanee Kasey Palmer is ineligible to face his parent club.

Antonio Conte has admitted that Alvaro Morata will play no part in Tuesday’s game, with concerns over a back injury and fatigue. Conte also confirmed he will still be without David Luiz due to a knee injury, but Danny Drinkwater will travel to West Yorkshire after recovering from illness.

The Italian expects Huddersfield to try and hit his team on the break, saying: “We must pay great attention to the counter-attack because they have fast players. They are in a good moment of form and we must be very good to be more clinical in this game, because in the recent period we weren’t clinical.”
