Sharp Shooterz overhauled Ebrahim Yusuf and Eggplant Emoji, and held off a surge from Yusuf Bham and Busby Babes to take the grand prize. Pillay’s team got themselves a healthy 80 points for Gamweek 28, making the most out of using their wildcard chip to overhaul their squad. In came Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane, who got 31 points between them from Liverpool’s 5-0 pummelling of Watford. Alexander-Arnold picked up a clean sheet and three assists while Mane grabbed himself two goals in a return to form for the Senegalese forward. Sharp Shooterz also benefited from captaining Sergio Aguero who got Pillay’s team 18 points after scoring the only goal of Manchester City’s 1-0 win at home to West Ham. Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof (7 points) and Paul Pogba (5 points) along with Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette (5 points) also contributed to Pillay’s success. Sharp Shooterz finished just eight points ahead of Busby Babes, after an amazing run from the latter saw them pick up 105 points for Gameweek 28. This was an even more impressive points tally, given that the team used none of their bonus chips for the Gameweek. Busby Babes also captained Aguero, and had Alexander-Arnold (above) in and Mane their team, while Virgil Van Dijk got 20 points for his two goals and clean sheet against Watford. Arsenal’s Henrick Mkhitariyan also picked up 16 points after his goal and two assists in Arsenal’s 5-1 thumping of Bournemouth. As for Eggplant Emoji, they were a little unlucky as you rarely see Mohamed Salah not contributing to a Liverpool goal-fest, but the Egyptian got just three points (doubled to six as Eggplant Emoji had his as captain) for his effort against Watford. Liverpool’s Andy Robertson (13 points), was the only player who got into double figures in Ebrahim Yusuf’s team.
