In a Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 24 full of surprises, Jurgenmeisters only managed to pick up 42 points, but it was enough to win the January competition by seven points from Liso Nkosi’s Izinja Zegame FC. Jurgenmeisters definitely owed a debt of gratitude to Wolverhampton Wanderers, who contributed 24 of their 42 points for Gameweek 24, with Raul Jimenez’s double in the 3-0 win over West Ham helping him grab 12 points, while Diego Jota got six points after an assist in the same game and Matt Doherty managed six points for helping Wolves keep a clean sheet. Paul Pogba also got seven points after scoring in Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Burnley, and even though Jurgenmeisters’ captain Mohamed Salah only got four points in total, and Moodley left David Brooks of Bournemouth, who got 12 points for his fantastic display against Chelsea, on the bench, it didn’t matter as they scooped the prize. Izinja Zegame FC and Nkosi got 54 points for Gameweek 24, not quite enough, and also suffered from captaining Salah, their main points coming from Jimenez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in attack Aubameyang, like Jimenez (above), got 12 points. Izinga Zegame also featured Richarlison, who got eight points after his winner at Huddersfield. A point back from Nkosi in the overall January standings was Mohommed Mayet and Marlboros Finest, who got an impressive 64 points in the gameweek, benefiting from captaining Aubameyang, who got them 24 points on his own. Mayet also included Alexander Mitrovic, who bounced back into form with two goals for Fulham in their 4-2 win at home to Brighton.
