Moolla’s nana’s team won by 24 points from Deenan Moodley’s Jurgenmêisters, helped by some excellent introductions to Moolla’s side over the busy December period. Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son (above) was a superb acquisition for all Fantasy Premier League managers last month, racking up a hatful of goals and assists. He got Moolla 14 points in Gameweek 16, 21 points in Gameweek 18 and 13 points in Gameweek 19, and this was without even being named captain! When nana’s team did captain Son, in Gameweek 20, Moolla laid down his triple captain chip, and Son brought home another 15 points! January’s Phakaaathi Private Fantasy League competition is underway, meanwhile, with Elke Gerrlings’ Elizaford FC leading the way after Gameweek 21. Gerrlings picked up an impressive 98 points as she captained Son, who got her 26 points for his goal and assist at Cardiff. Geerlings also had five other goalscorers in her side from Gameweek 21, in the form of Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake, Callum Wilson and Marcus Fraser, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Brighton’s Shane Duffy and Chelsea’s Marco Alonso both helped their sides to clean sheets. Elizaford FC are Daylon Abrahams and Dayz, who got an impressive 86 points from Gameweek 21. Abrahams captained Aibameyang, which got him 18 points, while Aubameyang, Rashford, Son and Alonso were also in his team. He also had Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt, who got an assist and a clean sheet in Palace’s 2-0 win at Wolves. The English Premier League is back this weekend for Gameweek 22, after a brief break for the FA Cup third round, with the standout fixture seeing Tottenham host a resurgent Manchester United.
