According to the Sunday Sun, the 21-year-old was charged with reckless and negligent by Metro police after he was caught speeding on the M1 North on Grayston Drive in Sandton.
Police spokesperson, Granville Meyer confirmed the star was arrested and that an investigation was still underway.
The former Al Ahly forward was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest.
Sundowns spokesperson Thulani Thuswa said the player was in camp and couldn’t comment on the matter.
