Are SA coaches getting the recognition they deserve?

Mamelodi Sundowns qualified for the Caf Champions League in great style as they handed minnows Cote d'Or a 11-1 drubbing this past weekend.

Bidvest Wits and TS Galaxy also did South Africa proud in the Caf Confederation Cup by winning their ties to edge close to qualifying for the group stages.

What is interesting is that all three teams are led by South African coaches. Sundowns are led by Pitso Mosimane, while Wits and Galaxy are coached by Gavin Hunt and Dan Malesela respectively.

The three teams’ good progress in the Caf competitions has brought back the debate if whether or not SA coaches are being given the recognition they deserve.

Watch as Phakaaathi TV host Khaya Ndubane and his guest Thembinkosi Sekgaphane join the debate. The duo also shared their views on what transpired in the Absa Premiership over the weekend.
