Wits’ huge Hlatshwayo asking price may turn Pirates off

Bidvest Wits are believed to have put a hefty price tag on their captain and Orlando Pirates target Thulani Hlatshwayo.

The Buccaneers are long time admirers of Hlatshwayo, who has also previously conceded to his wish to play for Bucs, which was a team he grew up supporting.

But when speculation was rife that he would finally get his wish, he extended his stay at Wits and now if Pirates really want him, they will have to fork out.

A source has however revealed that it is no longer only Pirates who are salivating over Hlatshwayo, as an unnamed overseas team have also made some enquiries about the Bafana captain’s availability.

“There is a possibility of an overseas move for him as well. I think the Pirates chapter is closed for now,” said the source.
