Wits CEO dismisses Tlhone’s Pirates link

Tlhone signed a pre-contract with Wits on January 4, but reports emerged recently that he had also signed a pre-contract with Pirates.

“After signing him, we wrote to Safa and advised that we had signed him from July 1. Anyone else who has done that, let them produce the documents,” said Ferreira.

“I have spoken to Mr Floyd Mbele (the Pirates football administrator) who assured me that there is no contract signed with the player). I can only take it from Floyd as what he says it is.”
