Bidvest Wits reserves’ captain Janovane September believes they can overtake Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge after the Pretoria outfit dropped points this past weekend.
Just one point separates Sundowns and Wits at the top of the MDC standings following Downs 3-1 loss to Chippa United last Sunday.
Sundowns reserves are on top of the standings with 47 points, while Wits are on second place with 46 having played 20 games.
“We want to win this League and at the moment anything is still possible because there are lots of games that still have to be played. Let’s see what happens next weekend we might overtake them at the top,” said the Wits skipper.
Wits kept themselves on the race for the championship after beating Polokwane City 1-0 at the Bidvest Stadium last weekend.
