According to a source, Chiefs have agreed to his request and have put him on a transfer list.
“Castro is unhappy at Chiefs and wants to leave the club. The last straw was when he was left on the bench for the final of the Nedbank Cup. He was really angry with this decision because he felt he could have done the job for Chiefs,” said the source.
Castro joined Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns in January last year.
He made 30 appearances for Chiefs this past season, scoring seven goals and making seven assists in the process.

Meanwhile, as reported last night, Chiefs have decided against renewing the contract of striker Ryan Moon.
Moon became the sixth player to part ways with Chiefs in recent months after the club released Hendrick Ekstein, Virgil Vries, Kgotso Malope, Gustavo Paez and Bhongolwethu Jayiya.
Word is that the club will release more players during the off-season.
