According to reports, the Nigeria Under-23 shot stopper is expected to have his medical with the Caf champions this week.
Rangers are said to have already started planning without him for their CAF Champions League campaign.
Daniel was the first choice for Nigeria Under-23 as they went on to win bronze at the recent Olympics in Rio last year.
