‘Special’ Erasmus ready for Chiefs

Cape Town City striker Kermit Erasmus is getting strong by each game, according to City assistant coach Vasili Manousakis.

Manousakis is confident Erasmus will be the difference when they face Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup on Sunday.

The South African international used to cause problems for the Chiefs defence while he was playing for Orlando Pirates before moving to Europe and Manousakis hopes Erasmus will help the Citizens advance to the next round of the competition.

“He’s a special player. His strikes against Sundowns and Wits showed what he’s capable of on his day,” Manousakis was quoted as saying by IOL.

“He’s getting stronger by the game and I expect to see him score a lot more.”
