The club confirmed on their official website that the forward tested positive for coronavirus. The player is self-isolating at home for 14 days after testing positive for Covid-19. The play will be in isolation until the next test.
The club has advised anyone who has been in contact with the player since last week when he started presenting flu-like symptoms to test themselves.
“The health and wellbeing of our players, officials, and the wider community remains our highest priority in this difficult time,” read a statement from the club’s website.
“He will need to test negative before he is cleared. In accordance with relevant protocols, NHI has been notified of the case by the Club. We urge everybody to continue practising safe and healthy measures to contain and mitigate the spread of the infection.”
