Pirates players out to impress new coach

The arrival of new Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has raised the intensity in the Bucs camp, with some of the players who seemed to be relaxed at training knowing they will be in a match day squad now only by training hard.

According to a source, everyone in the Bucs camp is focused because the new coach will obviously be looking to try out some new combinations, while interim coach Rulani Mokwena used to work mostly with the players he knew and trusted.

“I think it’s always the case when a new coach comes, players rise to the occasion and work and train hard so that the new coach can see them. This is something that wasn’t entirely there during coach Rulani’s time and some players took advantage”.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, there are still a lot of questions surrounding the new man at the helm of the Soweto club and his whereabouts.

Zinnbauer, a German-born coach was announced as the new Buccaneers coach on Tuesday afternoon, but the announcement shocked many football fans, especially Pirates supporters who had no clue who Zinnbauer is.
