Pirates coach Zinnbauer hungry for titles
Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has revealed that he is hungry for success and has won titles elsewhere even coached one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Having joined a club which is on a trophy drought since 2014 with a lot of expectations, the German-born coach has expressed his desire to do well with the Buccaneers and says he didn’t come to South Africa for a holiday.

“I am hungry for titles, I am a coach. I didn’t come here for a holiday, I work hard for this and it’s not so that I didn’t win titles in the Bundesliga, but in other clubs, I have won champions. But it’s football, you might not win titles in the first division or second division, but I have won a lot of titles in my life,” said the Pirates mentor.
“I coached a club in Switzerland and it was not so easy, it is one of the oldest clubs in Europe (FC St. Gallen), but most of the guys don’t know. But it’s not so easy, it was a very cultured club in Switzerland and a lot of coaches won titles in the past time.”
Realistically speaking, Zinnbauer has a chance to try and fight for a trophy with the Nedbank Cup coming as one last tournament in the 2019/2020 season, whereas their chances of fighting for the Absa Premiership seem to be far fetched with the Buccaneers trailing log leaders Kaizer Chiefs with 17 points.
