Coach Rulani Mokwena says Mntambo has worked very hard to get back into the starting line-up and says what makes him even more special is his personality.
“I think first let’s congratulate Figo, he has worked extremely hard to be in the team. His character and humility are one of the things that allow him to put himself at the service of the team. You will even see him in the changing room how important of a personality he is in the change room,” he added.
“And apart from that, you can see from the performances that he is getting better and better and as he becomes more confident he becomes the Figo that we know. We congratulate him, but no man is an island, this is a team sport, and we spoke about that, for him to be playing the way he plays he needs the support from his teammates and everyone. Today (Tuesday) he was prepared to go through the barricades to make sure that Pirates gets on the receiving end of the three points.”
