William Twala was the Man-of-the-Match in that game as he scored the two goals. He plays on the right wing while Vincent Pule mirrors him on the left flank. Pule scored a stunning free-kick in the Soweto derby where Orlando Pirates lost 3-2 to Kaizer Chiefs.
Other players from the derby are Chiefs’ Cardoso and Pirates’ Ben Motshwari who slots in the heart of midfield. Cardoso was named the Man-of-the-Match for supposedly defusing most of the Buccaneers’ firepower and converting the penalty that sealed the deal for Amakhosi.
Young Luke Fleurs gets the nod next to Cardoso following his Man-of-the-Match performance against Wits.
Sipho Mbule and Danny Phiri make up the midfield as they both played a huge in helping SuperSport United and Golden Arrows bag three points. Mbule scored a stoppage time goal to upset Wits at home while Phiri opened the scoring in Abafana Bes’thende’s 3-2 win over Mamelodi Sundowns.
Knox Mutizwa scored Arrows’ other two goals and was voted Man-of-the-Match. He is this week’s lone striker.
