Ntshangase wants out at Kaizer Chiefs

Phakaaathi has learned that Siphelele Ntshangase may be on his way out of Kaizer Chiefs, with the midfielder frustrated at the lack of game time.

Ntshangase has hardly got a look in since Ernst Middendorp took over with the German mentor publicly stating that the former Black Leopards man’s style of play isn’t suitable for the system he wants the team to play.

“It was clear when he didn’t even make the 18 for the Chippa game this week that he is way too far down the pecking order. All the other players who had not been getting game time were given a chance in that game as some regulars were rested for the derby. I heard his handlers have already started looking for something elsewhere for him,” he said. Phakaaathi Plus also understands that AmaZulu FC are keen on the midfielder and are watching his situation with keen interest.

Ntshangase has made only 29 appearances for Chiefs across all domestic competitions, since joining them at the start of the 2017/18 season. He has not played at all this campaign under Ernst Middendorp, with the Chiefs coach openly criticising his attacking midfielder in September.

“I don’t think Ntshangase is close to breaking into the starting team. He likes to pass, pass, pass, pass and then pass again. It looks nice but I’m sorry, football is about goals and results,” Middendorp told SAfm.
