NPA denies dragging its feet in Meyiwa case
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has denied claims from the Meyiwa family that they are holding back on prosecuting Senzo Meyiwa’s killer.

Senzo’s brother, Sifiso, confirmed last week that they have been approached by AfriForum to help bring the former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper’s killers to book.
“I’ve been approached by AfriForum and other organisations that are willing to help,” said Sifiso.
The director of public prosecutions in Gauteng, Advocate Andrew Chauke says they are still committed to resolving the Senzo case.
“After several enquiries in relation to the unsolved murder, we’ve met with Senzo’s brother to explain why the prosecution can’t proceed at this stage.
“The NPA remains committed to delivering justice, and to achieve this objective we need to thoroughly investigate cases.
“We don’t want to be guilty of malicious prosecution and raising false hopes. Once investigations are concluded and we’re satisfied the matter is court ready, we’ll not hesitate to bring the perpetrators to book,” Chauke told the Daily Sun.
