Nomvethe comes out of retirement to join GladAfrica side – report

Former Bafana Bafana star Siyabonga Nomvethe is making a comeback a few months after retiring.

The 42-year-old announced his retirement at the end of last season when his contract with AmaZulu expired.

Uthongathi seems to have convinced the former African Wanderers player to come out of retirement to mentor youngsters in the team as a senior player.

“Bhele has joined the team. He arrived this week,” a source was quoted by SunSport.

“But he will not play this weekend in our last match of the first round. He will start playing when we come back from Christmas recess.”

Uthongathi coach Pitso Dladla said Nomvethe and Thanduyise Khuboni were training with the side but they are not signed.

“Nomvethe and Khuboni are training with the club. I cannot confirm if they have signed or not, but they are with us. You can call the management and they will give more detailed information regarding that.”
