Motupa was linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns from Wits. The striker was contacted directly by the Sundowns camp about his availability which angered the Clever Boys management.
The former Orlando Pirates striker expressed disappointment after the Clever Boys refused to release him in January.
Sundowns and Wits were set to square off in the Semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup before the league was suspended.
When asked if he would try to impress Sundowns when the league resumes so he could get tipped for a move to the Brazilians in the off-season transfer window Motupa says his focus is at Wits at the moment.
“The Sundowns deal is not about me it is about my team and what they will do,” said Motupa. “My focus is to help my team to do well against all the side and reach the finals. About Sundowns my focus, for now, is at Wits.”
