Nurkovic scored his first hat-trick in the Absa Premiership while Castro scored a brace during the 5-3 win over Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend.
The hat-trick took Nurkovic’s tally to eight league goals, while Castro is on four league goals as the first half of the 2019/20 season draws to a close.
“I don’t doubt that my strikers at the end of the season will be counted amongst some of the top goal scorers in the league,” Middendorp told Isolezwe.
“What makes me happy about Castro and Samir is they work well together and they have an understanding, they help each other.
“They both know which numbers they need to reach for them to be counted with the top goal scorers in the league and to get the top goal scorer prize at the end of the season,” said Middendorp.
