Micho’s message to Zamalek fans

Micho Sredojevic says he's grateful to have coached a big side like Zamalek in his coaching career on the African continent.

The Serbian coach was fired by Zamalek following a loss to Congolese side TP Mazembe in a Caf Champions League tie.

Sredojevic said he wanted to take a sabbatical from coaching before finding a new job.

The former Orlando Pirates coach was replaced by Frenchman Patrice Carteron.

The Serbian mentor thanked the White Knights’ supporters, management and staff at the club for welcoming him to the club and making him feel at home in Egypt.

“Gratitude to all Egypt stakeholders of our game football especially those keeping Zamalek at heart for the memorable journey we passed together. Sincere appreciation to all players, staff and management it was honour, pleasure, privilege to live and love football with you. Good luck, all the best,” read a tweet from the sacked coach.
