The 21-year old only got to realise that he had won the award when he got to the PSL offices in Parktown since he was just told that he had an interview at the League headquarters by his club.
Mbule has credited his teammates and coach for helping him get the accolade and hoped to see his club doing better than they had been doing in the next round of the league.
“I didn’t know that I won the Player of the Month award. I was told you that I have an interview. I was lost when people started saying congratulations when I got here (PSL offices). So, I was shocked and was like what are you talking about? But I’m pretty much happy to be winning this award for the first time. Credit must go to my teammates; they have been pushing me in training and advising me on what to do and what not to do,” said Mbule.
“And to the coach as well, he has been good to us. The season hasn’t been how we want it to be, but I think we will get better and we will do better in the second round.”
