Maritzburg to release Pirates target for the right price
Maritzburg United COO Quinton Jetto says they will not block players from leaving the club if they wish to further their career elsewhere.

Jetto’s comments come after several United players have been linked with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Goalkeeper Richard Ofori, defenders Rushine De Reuck and Siyanda Xulu are linked with a move away from the Team of Choice at the end of the 2019/2020 season.
United extended Ofori’s contract before the start of the lockdown while Xulu’s contract expires in June with De Reuck seating with a five-year contract.
De Reuck’s agent hinted at the defender joining Pirates next season and Jetto believes anything is possible after the 2020/2021 season.
“Ultimately, we would look at any offer that comes for a player. We will never stand in any player’s way if there is a good offer that comes to the club. We understand where we are as a club, but it will always be in consultation with the coach and player,” Jetto told SAFM.
“De Reuck has a five-year contract. We improved his package according to his performance. Our intention is to make sure he’s happy first. His first preference is to go overseas, but if there is no offer, then he would like to stay here for another year before he moves somewhere”
