Zwane feels Chiefs are still in Champions League race

Kaizer Chiefs will now have to fight for wins in the last four games of the DStv Premiership after their loss to Sekhukhune United on Sunday.

Sekhukhune scored early in the game at Peter Mokaba Stadium and managed to hold on until the end to pocket an important three points.
The three points dropped by Chiefs means they are now six points behind in their quest for the second spot. Second spot guarantees Caf Champions League participation next season.
Chiefs are now six points behind second placed SuperSport United and five behind Orlando Pirates in third.
But as steep as the job now seems, coach Arthur Zwane says they are not giving up on their dream to return to continental football.
“I am one person that does not give up easily. This is football and anything can happen at any given time,” said Zwane after the game.
“We dropped points, and yes I am disappointed because we could have done better.
“But it’s one of those things… You never know what is going to happen because everyone is fighting to get to the top eight.
“Some are fighting relegation and we are also fighting to finish in a better position. So there are no easy games at this time of the season,” reasoned the Chiefs mentor.
Chiefs have 12 points to fight for
Zwane says they have to do much better in the last four games and minimise the mistakes that have hampered their progress this season.
“All the games are important for us, all the games. The last four games are very important and we play every game to win.
“We never stop working hard, and football is a game of mistakes like I have been saying. Unfortunately, when we make mistakes, we get punished.
“So let’s hope as time goes on we will get better in that department in terms of making sure we keep a clean sheet.”
Chiefs’ next game is a league encounter against Chippa United away on Thursday night.

Zwane will likely have to make do without his key midfielder Keagan Dolly who was taken off due to injury against Sekhukhune.
“He signalled to us that he’s got a problem with his knee. We’ll wait for the medical team for the report, then we’ll take it from there,” said Zwane on Dolly’s injury.
