Zungu was part of the squad that started South Africa’s qualification campaign with coach Stuart Baxter when South Africa beat Nigeria 2-0, but suffered an injury which kept him out for most of the 2018/19 season.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has since returned to action for the Ligue 1 side after recovering from his injury and has started training.
“My confidence level is picking up. But I’m not rushing. I will play when I feel fully fit and confident,” Zungu is quoted by DailySun.
“Hopefully, I’ll be in great shape and in the Bafana team for the game against Libya. We started well in the qualifiers and it would be good to win our last match and book our place in the final.”
